Breakfast Diet

Fried Koay TeowWhat do you have for breakfast? Whenever I ask these questions to my non-Malaysian friends, they would answer the common food such as bread, cereal, oatmeal, etc. Only one answered bread pudding. I have no idea what bread pudding is but it doesn’t really sound like something one would eat for breakfast. Maybe she’s just pulling my leg.

Breakfast in Malaysia is totally different. Because of the diverse cultures that we have, our breakfast could be a combination of nasi lemak, fried koay teow or even roti canai. All these food are extremely delicious but beware, they are also packed with cholesterol. If you are in Malaysia, you should totally try our breakfast food.

Soon, I will be changing my breakfast diet to control my cholesterol intake by eating weet-bix, oats and cereals but for now, I’m off to hunt for bread pudding recipes.

Mmm, roti is yum. 🙂 I only get it when I eat out here though.

Bread pudding’s also delicious, but for me it’d be way too rich for breakfast. I usually go for some bread or toast.
