I have bed bugs in my mobile home. Lived here for 4 years and now what I thought were flea bites turns out to be bed bugs. OMG if I known could have maybe got rid of them.Is it to late? It has only been about a month but I swear if I had a gun would kill myself.

4 years ago i had bed bugs, it was horrible. I called the exterminator and they were all gone after 5 weeks. i also thew away my bed my couch my cloths and everything else. I taped over cracks in the wall and slept on a air mattress for 3 years. its a real fight filled with many sleepless nites. Finally i went and bought a new 3,200 bedset. I was terrified about them comming back. Against my better judgement i bought a used 40 guitar to learn to play and guess what there back again. The war continues again what ive learned is think positive if you fear them comming like the secret said you will give your thoughts power and they will come. some time hard to do becouse im laying in bed now feeling like im getting bite all over but when i look there is nothing there. good luck to you and your fight people

i just wondering, anyone of u got any successfully case to kill the bed bugs at ur home? I faced the problem too... i read the article, bed bugs can live more than a yrs without feeding. hence, they can kill with 110 degree... so means if u put ur mattress outside the house to let sunrise kill it..it's impossible.... And the egg of the bed bugs is black colour.... so i did experiment it thought the black dots at my mattress is some dirty , but slowly you monitor it, they can start moving..... So, definately the normal insect aerosol wont help.

well bleach seems to make them bleed or release everything thats in them? over the next few weeks I'll be conducting a few experiments with the lil buggars... testing them like lab rats to see what works and what doesn't what annoys them and what can actually kill them... curious about how resilient they really are of course anyone would be, but in order to find a cure they have to be caught and tested...

Ok .. I hate bed bugs !!

I have paid for a company to come in and treat my house, it cost me close to $1000.00 and four treatment later I still found bed bugs ...ugh

The one thing I found that worked was spraying rubbing alcohol on my box spring and mattress. I sprayed the baseboard in the room , I used it on my bed frame and dressers too. Yes the room smelled like alcohol for a few days but it was much better then the bites. The best part is it did not damage the furniture.

I hope this helps and good luck if you hire a company to come in and do it for you ... it was a waste of time and money for me.

Yeah, unfortunately i moved into an apartment unit that had past experiences with bed bugs. My land lord assured me there weren't any in the building and they were gone. One week after moving in, my neighbor down stairs let us know she has them and to be watchful that the buggers might be heading up to my up stairs unit. She said she has been trying for the last 8 months to get rid of them.... sigh...so in an attempt at prevention before they come up to my unit i have encased everything i own in plastic bags, books, clothes, toys, you name it, its gone into ziplock bags, i figure maybe i can save a few things. But what a nightmare, living out of zip lock bags has got to suck. The moment i see a bed bug in my unit, i'm out of here, that is of course after fumigation.... the worst part about it all is the fear that you'll just take one bed bug with you to the next place and that one bug might start a whole new colony and the process starts all over again, once you thought it was safe..... i guess we all have headaches over this situation... Good luck

When I noticed my infestation, I immediately washed all of my bed linens-sheets, blankets, mattress pads...ALL OF IT! I washed in the hottest water possible, and then immediately washed them a second time, this time adding bleach to the wash. I dried in hottest heat possible and then bagged all of my freshly washed items in clean plastic bags, tied them shut and put them in my car for 2 days in the summer heat. I'm pretty comfident this got the most of them.
For my mattress and boxspring, I got mattress/boxspring cases that close and
after wrestling them into the cases, I also sprinkled a 50/50 mix of pyretrin &
diatomaceous earth (food grade) onto each BEFORE sealing. I also sprinkled this mixture around the perimeter of the room , allowing it rest on the floor for a day before vacuuming. I'm careful to wash bed linens AT LEAST once a week. I've also read they don't like lavender oil....so, figuring it couldn't hurt, I took a cotten ball wetted with lavender oil along all the edges of my dresser, along the corners of my closet and walls in my room. So far I've not seen anymore of the little pests, nor experienced any more bites. But the cat won't sleep with me anymore ...he doesn't like the lavender either. :(

My girlfriend and I recently returned from a camping trip in Northern Michigan. A few days after returning home, I started to notice what appeared to be small bites and they were itchy! Taking no chances we immediately washed, dried and threw out ANY articles under suspicion. I immediately contacted our management office who in turn promptly set up an extermination visit for us the same day. Don't take any chances. A few bed bugs, can turn into an infestation in a couple of months! Wish us luck..... I'd like to be able to sleep in peace again soon!

I live in Government housing with my 21 month old..an elderly lady downstairs from me brought bedbugs into her home and somehow they got into my apartment. I have currently had them since November of 2010..I have called my apartment manager numerous of times, they came in and sprayed at least 3 times, I bought a new matress, washed everything that detaches from my house, i currently have no living room furniture in fear of further infestation and my new matress is covered in plastic...i bought my daughter a new matress and as standard child matresses come it is plastic...I have been staying at my grandmothers house and no bites...my apartment said they saw no signs of them so I went and spent one night by myself and woke up the next morning with small bites compared to the larger ones I had before..I called my apartment manager again and she told me they were finished treating and they would let me out of my lease if i wanted and insisted that i have to be dragging them back and forth but as i said before we stay at my gmas and never have we had a bite while there...im starting to think i cant get rid of them and i have a home of my own i cant even dwell in..i dont wish this upon ANYONE and like the guy says before me...to ANY bedbugs readin this: I hate you and hope death upon you all lol but seriously its a complete and total nightmare

Yawn... i hate bothering about silly old bed bugs. Just simply put all ur mattreses & beds & pillows e.t.c into the dryer, set tempreture to 140 degrees farenheit and say byebye to little biteys witeys. Of course, if some do survive by living in cracks or hookin on ur clothes, just put them under the sun or if u want the simplest way, call a pest controlling company. Personally, pest control companies dont rllycare bout u they just offer u products or giv u lousy advice so u gotta do it urself. And to any bed bugs readin this: I hate u.

Man, ever since bed bugs invaded my precious territory, I've been constantly scratching my asses out. Jeez, I hate those bloody creatures, they certainly are bloody. At 1st I blamed the mosquitoes and every day wen i wake up i spray mosquito repellent, and every night when I go to sleep i spray it again. But, it is beds still so super freakin itchy so i checked my bed. I saw those bugs crawlin all over, EEKS! I immediately took repellent and sprayyyyyyyy. Then i threw the mattress and all my beds and pillows away. I bought new ones. But, bedbugs were still in crackies so im plannin to move away from my house

Rubbing alcohol has to be the 91% or higher.. also... make sure you vac your carpets several times a day, then empty container or change bag... I live in an apartment building that has a really bad problem and the landlords are only treating one apartment at a time... Personally they need to treat all of them since they can crawl out someone else's door into yours! It also helps if the pest control company that you use looks well enough to see them...I had them back in July and was "cleared" at the end of August.... But I have spotted them again!... All of my beds are already in encasements so all I have to do now is start the whole vac the carpets and wash everything again.. I threw out my living room furniture back in the summer and right now I am sitting on coleman chairs... I am not even going to risk getting any furniture as that is a good home for them..... The toughest thing to do is wash wash wash all of the fabric in your home... vac all carpets several times a day... and yes the alcohol does work on contact but if you don't spray the bug, the vapors don't kill them. I did use the bombs that they sell at Lowe's in between treatments from the pest control and I think that helped a lot... Best of luck to everyone..
