The infamous ladyboys of Bangkok; I got to meet them in one of my trips to Thailand. A few acquaintances told me to give them a skip and so did a couple of my relatives as there is nothing to see except men in girls clothes. But, I’ve been also told about their beauty which some girls would kill to have. My mind was made up, I’m going to meet them.
So, I booked a seat for a night’s performance at Calypso Cabaret through a local travel agent in Bangkok. It costs only 850 Baht which included an international buffet dinner. Calypso performs twice daily (8:15pm and 9:45pm) at Asia Hotel. To be frank, I enjoyed the show and the ladyboys performed very well indeed although they lip-synced to the songs and tunes.
The ladyboys are very pretty indeed and their bodies are something that most men would desire. At the end of the show, you will get a chance to meet them up close and even have a photo or two with your favourite performers. I have having a time of my life and enjoying the opportunity to have my picture taken; it was all rosy until she spoke.

Last night, over teh tarik at a mamak stall, my friends and I had a chat about our recent holidays abroad. Some recalled their “sleazy” trips to Bangkok, Thailand while others told their stories of Bali and Japan. My friends and I are avid travellers and the only thing that is holding us back is money. Yesterday, we decided to take a trip together to a place farther than ASEAN, to an exotic place that not many people have gone to. Mongolia topped our list but we are a bit hesitant as we do not know how Mongolians are going to treat Malaysians. One suggested that we should look for cheap holidays to Turkey especially since Turkey emphasizes on their culture as the foundation of their Republic. Turkey sounds exotic if you ask me.
I retired home from the mamak session and started to read more about Turkey. No wonder Turkey felt like an exotic place to visit; they border Europe and Asia, making them a transcontinental country; they have 8 neighbours and therefore, not surprisingly, adopt lots of cultures; they have a long list of histories in their soil. Check out some of the photos that you can find on the Internet and you will be amazed how Turkey have both Asian and European architectures in their buildings.
Holidaying in Turkey is not going to be cheap but I would really love to get there. Time to bring out my piggy bank.

Have you ever been to South America? Did you even plan to go to South America? If you are going to South America, do yourself a favour and sign up with a Spanish immersion school for that baptism of language. Wondering why I’m saying all this? Let me answer your question with a question. Did you know that since 1952, there were 17 winners of Miss Universe competition from South American countries? Yes, these Spanish speaking ladies have won almost half the time the tiara is put up for the taking.
The scene above is probably what you will be expecting when you travel around South America. Beauty is everywhere; from countryside to the city. When you are lost, you can whip up your Spanish and ask for directions from one of their beauties; or at least pretend to be lost.
