Many of us today have stopped buying the cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions and opted for the more stylish, flattish and sexy LCD or plasma TV. Over the years, prices for the LCD and plasma TV have spiraled downwards with the current price tag within the reaches of many households. What comes along with the newest of TVs is the support for High Definition (HD) digital broadcast system; these TVs are known as High Definition Television or HDTV.
Owning a HDTV does not mean that you immediately get clearer and sharper pictures but rather depends on the channel broadcast and HDTV reception. You will need a HDTV Tuner box if your HDTV does not have one built-in; so, if you have yet to purchase your unit, make sure the unit has one inbuilt. By the way, check out the Terk antenna as it is one of the strongest brands of HDTV antennas in the market. Some of its antennas features an amplifier to boost signal strength.
In the future, television stations will broadcast all their shows in high definition. If you do not have a HDTV, fear not as you will still be able to watch your favourite shows in standard definition. If you aren’t sure what or how high definition broadcast is, I urge you to head down to your local store and take a peep. I’m sure you will appreciate television once more.

After scouting around electrical shops, specialty shops, shopping centers and shopping malls, I was led to believe that one of the best LCD TVs around is of the Samsung brand and more specifically, the Samsung LN-T4665F which is a 46-inch LCD HDTV. Even without switching it on, the LCD TV itself is a head-turner; many thanks to its glossy finish and round blueish power-on switch.
I have just purchased a DELL 22″ Widescreen LCD monitor last week at rock bottom prices for my home office and now my hands are itching to replace the Sony Wega television that I have in my living room. I sure hope my wallet can keep up to my buying nature
.
If I do purchase this magnificent TV, it’s going to be the most expensive single item in my house (apart from the house). Not only is my computer monitor flat, my TV is going to be flat and all that will flatten my wallet. Do you own a LCD TV? Tell me all about it; the goods, the bads and the ugly.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the Apple iPhone will start shipping on the 29th of June. That’s in the US; it will be 30th June in Malaysia. I’m not entirely sure if there will be any on sale here in Kuala Lumpur but I sure would like to get my hands on one of those lovely gadget.
When I first saw the iPhone demonstration, I was extremely impressed by the capabilities and ease of use. I believe that the folks in Apple has put in much thought, dedication and effort to produce one of the most impressive mobile phones (to me, that is).
In the past, I’ve used other types of PDA phones but the stability of these gadgets got on my nerves. Ever so often, these devices will hang and rendered useless especially at times when you need to use them urgently. My initial fear was that the Apple iPhone would behave the same way. But, recent news has it that Steve Jobs has confirmed that the iPhone uses the Mac OS X as its base operating system; which would eliminate many stability doubts in doubters such as myself.
So, folks, get ready for the fireworks on June 29th (US time).
