After scouting around electrical shops, specialty shops, shopping centers and shopping malls, I was led to believe that one of the best LCD TVs around is of the Samsung brand and more specifically, the Samsung LN-T4665F which is a 46-inch LCD HDTV. Even without switching it on, the LCD TV itself is a head-turner; many thanks to its glossy finish and round blueish power-on switch.
I have just purchased a DELL 22″ Widescreen LCD monitor last week at rock bottom prices for my home office and now my hands are itching to replace the Sony Wega television that I have in my living room. I sure hope my wallet can keep up to my buying nature
.
If I do purchase this magnificent TV, it’s going to be the most expensive single item in my house (apart from the house). Not only is my computer monitor flat, my TV is going to be flat and all that will flatten my wallet. Do you own a LCD TV? Tell me all about it; the goods, the bads and the ugly.

I have just laid my hands on a beautiful Apple 15″ PowerBook G4. The unit came dirty with food leftovers on the keyboards, trackpad and screen. I took the liberty of cleaning up this sexy piece of machinery and in about 30 minutes, it looks brand new.
This particular model of Apple product has been discontinued and replaced with the Intel based MacBook Pro. What am I doing with this machine, you asked. This unit in my hands is up for sale and I am contemplating buying it. My worry is really the cost of maintaining an obsolete Apple machine and the fact that I have been a Windows user for as long as I could remember (circa 15 years).
I have heard so many good things about the Mac and now that I can really afford to own one, I can’t decide. A few of my friends who made the switch from Windows to Mac swore that they won’t be supporting Bill Gates and his Windows anymore. MacOS has really converted my friends based on it functionalities, ease of use and reliability.
Tough decisions in life, isn’t it.
p.s. Blogged this using Firefox on MacOS X on PowerBook G4 on Apple.

Months and months of saving my hard earned money has finally paid off when I got my very own iPod Video 30GB White.
To sweeten the achievement and to my pleasure, the iPod has performed wonderfully after I had transferred all the songs and videos using iTunes. With this, that’s one gadget off my wishlist.
Quick rundown of the iPod Video 30GB:
- 30GB of space. In actual, 27.8GB because of Windows thingy.
- Battery life is approximately 14 hours. Charging time is 4 hours (full) or 2 hours (80%). Charging is performed via a USB cable attached to your laptop or desktop.
- Weighs in at 136 grams
- Plays music and videos. Extra functions such as photo albums, calendar, to do, games and podcast.
So far, the drawbacks/shortfalls I noticed are:
- Integration with iTunes. To add and remove songs from your iPod, you need to do it through iTunes. There is no drag and drop function for transferring of files.
- Wall socket charger (like your mobile phones) is considered an accessory which you need to purchase separately. Available for RM119 at MacStudio (Ikano Power Center).
- iPod earphones are crappy. No difference with the normal Sony or Philips earphones you can purchase in Tesco. I am going to look for some Koss earbuds.
