Some Guys Have All The Luck!

Jumping With Joy on The BeachHow would you like an all paid work week in Hong Kong? How would you like an all paid 2 work weeks in United States of America? How do you fancy an all inclusive holidays to Corfu, Greece? Yes, all these are happening to my close friends. All three of them! All of them are flying business class and all of them are leaving the country in about the same time. Seriously, all these great stuff happens to only people around me. Why not me?

Somehow, these kind of luck opportunities never ever knock on my door. The only time I flew business class was when I upgraded myself by paying it using my own money. All my overseas travel have been self funded and you are laughing at how pathetic I am. :(

Now, the luckiest person amongst the 3 of them is the one who got the free trip to Corfu. Apparently, it was an incentive for her when she achieved her sales quota for her organisation. Since she’s got the free trip, maybe she doesn’t mind me tagging along. After all, it’ll only cost me an air ticket and her nothing.  Time to get ready for a vacation! :D

Dang! I Missed The Boat

Australia Sydney Opera HouseEvery year, we will have 2 occasions where MATTA (Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents) will run a fair over the weekend to bring its members together and offer to the public cheap tickets for tours, cruises, hotels and air flight. The last fair was held from the 16-18 of March which I missed. Even though I felt bad (initially) because I wanted to go on a cheap vacation, I’m now feeling elated after learning of a better leisuretime promotion. Many thanks to my next door neighbour who is a Singaporean. ;)

Qantas Singapore is having a promotion where you are allowed to have 2 stopovers in Australia for only SGD598 which equates to RM1,363. Mind you that these are return tickets and that’s a bargain for you can’t get this kind of price in Kuala Lumpur. There are multiple Australian cities to choose from and you can mix and match the stopovers subject to Qantas’ approved cities combination.

Though this promotion is enticing, there are 2 drawbacks:

  1. commuting KUL-SIN which you can easily overcome using luxury buses; and
  2. the extra days required to travel from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore and vice versa
