The Love for Mustangs

Ford Mustang LogoAs a continuation of my earlier post about Hollywoods Cars and Mustangs, I have performed some search on the Internet with regards to the love of Mustangs. As we may all know by now that online forums are the best place to search for a community that have similar interests.

My first stop was at Mustang Forums where there exist a thriving community of over 46,000 Mustang lovers, congregating and raving about nothing except Mustangs. At this forum, one can expect discussions on Mustang maintenance, technical assistance for auto repairs, various how to’s and Mustang performances. Check out some cool video clips located at the Mustang Videos section.

While I enjoyed reading some of the discussions on the Mustangs, I was curious about the history of the car. I did a quick search in the same forum and presto, I found a great resource on the Mustang timeline. Just a quick outline; Mustangs first entered the streets in 1964 and apparently was a huge success. Throughout the years, various models of Mustangs were rolled out to satisfy the hunger of Mustang enthusiasts right up to the 5.4 litre 2007 concept car.

We all know that the great Mustangs are manufactured by Ford Corporation. If you are a Ford car enthusiast, you should check out Ford Forum.

Management Series – With Passion, Comes Emotion

Female Management GuruAs a manager, how many times have you come across staff who are obnoxious, who are loud, who opposes changes that you want done? I am pretty sure you have came across such individuals in your working life. My suggestion to you is this: Don’t discount those “trouble makers”. Be more concerned of the yes-men and the complacent ones for these kind of employees (though generally liked and get along well with you) will bring about a stagnant organisation.

The “trouble makers” may complain, they may fret, they may pout and they may even drive you nuts but take a step back and have deep thoughts about what their reasons may be. Generally and I do mean generally, these so-called “trouble makers” are the ones who are passionate about your organisation. They have burning desires to make right the wrongs. Watch out for trouble makers who do not offer constructive suggestions/arguments but are rather spiteful and hateful.

For those who you have sifted as passionate trouble makers, tolerate their “barkings” and listen very carefully to what they are saying. They are conveying a message to you. Grasp those messages and act on them. More often than not, these trouble-makers are in the right.

Parenting Magazines

Parenting MagazineAs a young parent, I often rely on my mother for [tag]parenting[/tag] advise when it comes to dealing with my little ones. Call me lazy or call me inexperienced but my mother’s advise always seem to be the correct ones. After all, she did bring me up well and has umpteen years of experience with children.

But alas, my mother does not stay with me. Her knowledge and experience can only be tapped if she’s at home answering my calls. I tried offering/bribing her a mobile phone but she refused to be chained to technology. My wife and I finally thought that it’s best for us to stand on our own two feet when it comes to our children’s upbringing.

We thought long and we thought hard. Where are we to solicit uptodate information about parenting? Where can we read and learn about parenting skills and “best practices” for a child’s [tag]upbringing[/tag]? If we want to buy expensive children items (e.g. car seats), where can we get expert reviews? Trust me when I say that many questions popped in our heads and we have no answers.

We decided to hop over to Borders in search of some parenting books. As we entered through the entrance, a section on magazines caught my eyes (all guys are suckers for gadget and auto magazines  ). Along with [tag]magazines[/tag] that interest me were [tag]parenting magazines[/tag]. I took one copy and skimmed through the contents and immediate knew that the questions I asked before had been answered.

Magazines with parenting emphasis provide focus on bringing up children, the best products, experts reviews, latest happenings revolving around children’s growth, best methods for children intelligence and much much more. Children’s health and general disease prevention are also discussed and explained (very valuable content).

I am now a proud subscriber of parenting magazines such as Young Parents and Parenthood. These magazines and their back copies are worth more than what I paid them for.
