Disappointed with Skype Support

Skype LogoRantEarlier, I blogged about buying Skype credit to keep in touch my friends and relatives around the world. On one particular day, I made 2 calls my overseas friend on his mobile (Note to readers: Overseas mobile numbers dialling are typically much more costly compared to traditional landlines) for which the calls did not get through. However, I noticed that my Skype credit was charged US$0.28 (RM1.04) both times.

I called my friend on his office number and managed to speak to him. He said, on his mobile, there is only 1 missed call and no voicemail. That got me wondering.

Naturally, as a customer, I looked for Skype’s support. Skype has this web form which you fill in for support requests. After filling in all the details and submitting my request to re-check the charges, Skype said that someone will contact me within the next 48 hours.

Lo and behold, 48 hours passed and no reply. Is that typical of Skype? Well, to be honest, I’m not sure and I don’t know. But I do know that I received their reply 11 days later (1 hour ago from the time of this post)!!!

Apart from the longest awating support time I ever experienced, Skype support said “According to our records, the 2 calls went through”. That’s just so sad. As if I want to screw Skype over RM2.08.

I’m not pursuing this matter anymore. I’m looking for alternatives.

Amazing Race Asia is Calling You

AXN Asia Amazing Race

AXN Asia is now calling for participants for the very first Asian version of the Amazing Race. Prize money is US$100,000; 10 times lower than that of our American counterparts. Nevertheless, take it as a long deserved holiday. If you do not have a sugar daddy or sugar mummy, how else can you get someone to pay the entire trip? That is of course, if you pass all their roadblocks, detours and yields.

So, if you think you are adventurous, challenge-driven, competitive, unafraid, death-defying, don’t procrastinate. Click here for more information and here for the application form. Heed my advice, do it before the 15th of March and break a leg, people.

The Boobs of Reality Shows

Amazing RaceI was watching the finale of Amazing Race with all intensity where competitors rush, dash, smash to get to the finish line. There were lots of running, lots of jumping and lots of bouncing. Yeah! Bouncing.

I was practically glued to the TV admiring the large frontal of the women competitors when it suddenly struck me.

As far as I can recall, all women in reality shows have really nice boobs! Fear Factor, Survivor, The Bachelor and many many more (with the exception of A Simple Life) all have women with big boobs. Damn! So, that’s how they got so many loyal viewers around the world.

Not that I’m complaining but I felt guess I just jumped at the chance to blog this when the bulb above my head lighted up.
